Ageratum

Germinates in 6-9 days. First harvest: 30-40 days. Second harvest: around 60 days.

Pinch growing tips when the plant is at least 15 cm (6 inches) tall to encourage bushier growth and more flower development.

To harvest, cut the stem at a 45-degree angle to the desired length and remove leaves from the bottom 3/4ths of the stem.

Harvest when first few buds begin to open at the base of the flowerhead.

Not safe for consumption.

Ageratums are a popular perfume ingredient. Their scent also makes them an effective mosquito repellant.
